Description:
Here we have a commercial model Mauser HSc semi automatic pistol chambered in .32 auto caliber. The Mauser HSc is a 7.65mm pistol introduced in Nazi Germany during World War II, and manufactured until 1977. The designation HSc stood for Hahn Selbstspanner (“self-cocking hammer”) Pistole, third and final design “C”. Production was continued in 1945–1946 during the French occupation and, from 1968 to 1977 by Mauser. It has a semi-exposed hammer, double-action trigger, single-column magazine, and a spring surrounding the barrel. The Mauser HSc was originally intended as a commercial pistol. It competed with the contemporary German Walther PPK and PP and Sauer 38H for police and military use. This particular example is of the fourth and final version and was made during the World War II time frame. This pistol has been carried a great deal resulting in the original finish being worn to a warm patina with some areas retaining original bluing. The top of the slide has some pitting at the front on the left side and minor pitting just in front of the rear sight. The wood grip panels have a small chip at the front of the left side and at the bottom rear of the right side. Interestingly this pistol has no proof marks that would normally be found on a commercial model. Serial numbers match on all parts that are serialized. The pistol comes with a holster made for a CZ and two magazines. All controls and functions operate as they should. If this pistol could talk it would surely have some tales of adventure to tell.
