A very rare & desirable Mauser Model 1878 zig-zag cylinder revolver, serial number 2077,
with 5 ½ inch ribbed barrel and chambered in obsolete 10.4 mm calibre.

Pistol is in mint condition with a few light surface blemishes with 95% -/ bluing.
In our opinion this revolver has never been fired the bore is bright & sharp with very
strong lands (rifling).

The Mauser C78 – also known as M78 Oberndorf – is a single-action revolver manufactured
by Mauser company in Oberndorf am Neckar during the late 19th century. It was the first
German revolver to be mass-produced for modern center-fire cartridges.

An iconic & highly collectable investment grade example of a most interesting “Mauser Oberndorf
am Neckar” revolver.
