Rare Navy Mauser HSC Rig – 3rd Variation
Description:
This is a nice example of a Mauser HSC issued to the Kriegsmarine in 1943. The gun is all matching and is a 3rd variation example, characterized by the Nazi “Eagle M” Navy marking on the front strap and additional “Eagle III/8” marking on the left side of the trigger guard. They only made about 2,000 of this variation. It comes as a rig with a correct Navy-style holster and one period-correct magazine. The holster is not Navy-marked but does have the information of the GI who brought it home written on the inside of the top flap. The gun itself has retained roughly 75% of its finish. Most the finish loss is on the grip straps, but there are also areas of spotty wear along both sides of the slide. An area of minor pitting on the right side of the slide around the muzzle. Comes with nice period-correct wood grips – some minor bruising here and there. Minty bore.
